I wrote a blog post about the checklist I put together of our essential information, which whānau will use if either Jonny or myself were to become incapacitated or, god forbid, drop dead. I could find nothing in New Zealand, so I based my version on what The Barefoot Investor talks about in his book. But when I spoke to a lovely North Otago woman called Paige, she has taken this concept a whole lot further and has developed a New Zealand centric, extremely comprehensive document called Peace of Mind. She canvassed a wide range of professionals and asked what information people wish they had in times of need and has created a user-friendly folder where you can note down “everything your family needs to know for any situation - all in one place”.
