How did you accumulate your net worth, what are you invested in? My partner bought a flat in 2007 and made her regular payments into her mortgage and sold it in 2020. We used the equity from that to buy a 3 bedroom house. In addition, we heavily invest into our workplace pension funds, and Vanguard ETF products. We also inherited $100,000 NZD when one of our parents died in 2020. We try to spend as little as we can save as much as possible.

What is your worst financial mistake? I knew I wanted to buy a house in a few months, but I kept money in the markets in Q4 (forth quarter of) 2018. Right before the markets went down and I lost 5% of my deposit money in the months before buying.
What advice do you have for others? Buy (share investments) early and buy often.
What is the point of having a net worth above $1,000,000. What does it mean to you? If I lose my job tomorrow, I don’t need to panic about keeping a roof over my head, food on table.
