Tried my hand at a few different things over the years but mainly through property investment both in New Zealand and Australia and recently Japan. I have invested both in NZ and ASX markets over the years but currently, don't have much money tied up in the markets.

What is the most enjoyable thing you do with money? The most enjoyable thing at the moment is a ski lodge me and my wife bought last year in Japan. It's a very new and exciting project for both of us it has many challenges but it’s very rewarding doing something we are both so passionate about.

What is your greatest financial win? Buying a ski lodge in Japan.
What is your worst financial mistake? From a young age not doing enough research of my own on the sharemarket. Just went with the recommendations of my stockbroker at the time as I thought he knew best as that's what he did every day.
What advice do you have for others? To live a happy healthy life and love what you do whatever that may be and if you are not happy with what you are doing then start looking at what you need to change. If you want to travel, then travel, if you want to study, then study. Follow your passion or what interests you, don't worry what everyone else is doing. You only get one crack at life so you might as well give it a bloody good crack.
What is the point of having a net worth above $1,000,000. What does it mean to you? It gives us a lot of freedom to spend more time doing what we want to be doing and at the end of the day, your time is your greatest asset.
